Greetings! I have a Moffat top loading clothes washer and it

This answer was rated:

Greetings! I have a Moffat top loading clothes washer and it seems the water won't drain out of it. Dirty water is sloshing around in the bottom of it and nothing comes out when switching on the spin/ drain cycle. I had this happen once before when one of my baby daughters socks made it out of the main drum and got caught in the drain below.
So, the problem is: I can't figure out how to get the housing off the machine so I can clear the drain of dog hair - likely?
Any tips?

How old is this machine ?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Sorry, that was the serial #. Model is MNSR1090H3WW
How's that? Back into the 20th century, I hope!
Ok if I have the right break down the front comes off. There are two clips about three inches in from the corners on the front. Use a putty knife inbetween the top and front and push in on the clips and pull the front away.
