Resolved Question:

Good morning! I own an apt. building, newly renovated, and installed (3-4years ago) moffat refridgerators in the kitchen. One has a fan that seems to be unbalanced, or something, as it on occasion drives the tenant nuts as it starts an intermittent grinding sound, intermittent in that it will do it one hour then not for a while and then again for a few hours, etc... I rent this building to med students, and they take quite good care of their apts. but I don't have a clue about appliances so don't know w hat to do... should I call a service man...

Took me a while but i am at he bldg. Moffat model numberMTS17BBSERWW. The grinding noise is indeed coming from the fan in the freezer. Tenant removed cover plate and wiggled it as it seems to be rubbing. Now it is not but he has now informed me that he did this once before in december and though it worked then it comes back and starts rubbing again...
