This answer was rated:

I have a 36 inch induction cooktop. I placed a corning ware lid and it touched the lock button. this has locked the cooktop. I touched the lock button but the light did not turn off and the cooktop will not power on. What should I do?

Justin :

Did you place the pad of your finger on the lock for more than five seconds?

Justin :

If you just touched it, that won't do.

Justin :

You must touch and hold the button for several seconds.

Thank you so much for your help-there is nothing that tells you that you must hold the lock button down for 5 plus seconds. Great News! the cooktop is fully operational and I have been able to turn the cook top heating elements. Great job!

Justin :

Awesome

Justin :

Glad to hear I helped.
