I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher GU1500XTLS2, Serial FP3808212 and it is currently not washing. There is water filling the bottom but there is no sound of the wash cycle and the dishes are dirty.

How much of the motor inside the dishwasher did you take apart ?

I only got to the accumulator assembly. I didn't go below that. I was only looking to see if anything was blocking under the top screen.

Here is a break down of the motor you need to get to part # XXXXX and remove it. That is where the chopper is. It is attached to the motor shaft. You need to check if the motor spins or if it is siezed. From what you have said it sounds like the motor is bad and needs to be replaced.

OK, I took it apart and the motor portion where the chopper attaches does not turn. I assume I would need to purchase part number 10 on the pdf.
