Customer Question

My amana refrigerator is giving off a foul odor. It appears to be coming from the air vents in the freezer part of the Top Freezer/Refrigerator unit. Is there a way to get to the vents to clean out the area underneath? We think food may be trapped there and causing the entire refrigerator to smell.

Using baking soda to clean the interior. No success.

This is the breakdown of your model the freezer panel and the freezer floor has to be removed to get to the area where the smell could be coming from.

I already have the schematic from Amana. How do I get the freezer floor out?

The center vent in the freezer comes off then you will see a screw remove that screw and lift the floor off.
