it sounds to me like the timer is not switching to the spin cycle on its own.

the contacts are sticking. when you stop the washer manually and put it on spin it will then open the contacts and spin.
it is simple to check. if you run the cycle and when the washer reaches the spin cycle it should switch from wash to spin
