Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

The icemaker is not easy to remove --- you need to know a few tricks. Remove the ice bin so you have access to the icemaker. Look along the left side wall in the bottom left corner of the ice compartment. There is a plastic trim that runs from the front to the back. There is a slot you can stick a butter knife through and pry down on the plastic locking tab behind this trim. With the tab being pushed on, pull the trim straight back and it will remove. From there, you can disconnect the wire harness and look for the small white plastic locking tab along the left side wall. Pry this out and pull on the icemaker. The entire icemaker with the back wall and everything will come out so that you can replace the icemaker.

i removed the piece underneath. where on the tab on the left do you pry? i pried it away from the side and pulled on the icemaker but it won't come out.

that's exactly what you do just pry it away from the side and pull hard.

I couldn't say without being there and showing you but it's under the icemaker somwhere.

i got it off. what's the trick to disconnect the plugs?

Just use a knife and pry the clip apart then pull out.
