I own a Danby DWC54BLS, a dual door/zone wine cooler. One side works fine, but the other does not cool. The fan works fine, and it reports an accurate temperature. The cooling fins on that side do not get cold at all, so I suspect there's no refrigerant running through them. There's only one compressor (or at least only one 'device'), so I'm assuming that it can't be a lack of refrigerant. I did find a component that has three copper pipes attached, I would guest it's one out of the compressor and two out to the units. This also has a yellow and black wire attached. Is this some kind of valve/switch and what would it be called and how might I test it?Any suggestions on what the problem may be would be welcome.

Hi, that is the refrigerant valve solenoid.
Unplug the wires on the solenoid, and use an old cord to make a jumper wire. Plug the cord in and check to see if the other side cools. If it cools the control is bad. If it still does not cool the solenoid is bad. The solenoid will need to be replace by a certified tech.
