This answer was rated:

What does an F:54 error mean? My washer keeps stopping with that error after the separate function. It's a Bravos Quiet Series 300 model.

Hi, my name is Peter.

It is detecting a high current load when trying to turn the tub. Lift the top of the washer by using a putty knife and insert it between the top and front panels about 3 inches from each side, push in the clip and lift the top. You will find a tech sheet glued to the inside of the front panel in a plastic bag. Go to page 3 and look up your error code, it will refer you to page 4, test #3. I explains how to test the motor assembly. After your testing you may contact Maytag and see if they have a recall on your model and serial # XXXXX that error code.
