Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

Which igniter are you talking about exactly. And what do you mean by "does not work"?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
the one lights the gas burner and clicks when you turn it on
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
what?

-Could you explain your situation a little more?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
when you turn the knob the burner does not light
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
ok which burner? Does it still click even though the burner doesn't light? Can't you light the burner with a match?

I need specifics to give you a correct answer.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
yes i can light it with a match. the other side still works. No click
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
ok and both of the burners on one side don't click at all when you turn either knob?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
that is correct
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
ok then you need to replace the spark switches below the knobs that go around your gas burner valve. You will need to remove the control panel behind the knob to access the switches and replace them.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

is this easy or hard to do and where do u get the replacement switches

Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
You can get the part at searspartsdirect.com if you want to do it yourself, and it's probably a 6 on a scale of 1-10 because there is a little bit of disassembly involved to get to the part.
