no, you do not need to light a pilot light. The igniter inside the dryer should start to glow when you turn your dryer on, it's all self ignition. You shouldn't have to do anything
What about the washer?
the washer has nothing to do with gas at all. The washer is strictly run off 120 volts. It may be a stacked dryer on top of the washer, but the gas only goes to the dryer.
Awesome. It's running now. I feel dumb. 35 bucks to find out I hadn't plugged the damn thing in.
