Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today. There is a white igniter tip beside the burner that the spark comes from. Make sure the igniter tip is clean.
It didn't look dirty, but I wiped it off anyway and dried it.I can see it sparking and hear the clicking sound when I turn the knob. But it won't light.
Make sure all the holes in the burner are clean by the igniter also.
I checked and all the holes are clean.
Will it light with a match?
It lit from the inside, but the burner wouldn't light even when I turned the knob.It has an electric start.
Right if you see the spark and it lights with a match it means it has gas. There has to be something blocking the gas from getting to the igniter. Make sure everything is clean and that the cap is on right.
Everything is clean and the cap is on tight.
Do you see spark from the igniter to the burner?
I just see a spark on the igniter-very small spark.
Ok that spark needs to jump to the burner. Look at one of the other burners that work to see. Use steel wool or a scotch brite pad to clean the igniter tip.
Sorry, nothing is happening except for the little spark from tip.
How long ago did the spill happen?
The stove was used yesterday, but no big spill.
You must have a bad igniter and need to replace it. You can order the part from this link. CLICK HERE
