I have a Hobart meat slicer that was leaking oil. The model # XXXXX XXXXX I found it coming from a cork out side the motor and dug it out. I have found a cork that can be used to replace the one I dug out. I need to know what type oil to use. Also I found oil in where all the wires are in the triangle where the main electrical wire enters the machine. Should there be oil in this compartment? I dried up the oil but it looks like the oil is coming from two wires at the bottom of the triangle that go through the moter.
Optional Information: Make: Hobart Model: 1612 Already Tried: Nothing other than drying up the oil that was in the compartment that 5 screws are used to close the place where the main electrical wire enters the machine.

You can order the gear oil by CLICKING HERE.
As for the other leak, as long as you keep oil in the gear box the unit will not be affected by the leak. The seal that is leaking appears to be no longer available as a replacement part.
