How do I fix p1 error code problem. U-line clr2160, I realize it is clogged drain issue but how do I unclog it?
Hello,I use 1/4 inch plastic tubing, do you have something small and flexible like that?Barry
1/4 inch plastic tubing to do what? Can I use compressor directly in drain hole?
Just push the tubing through the drain. It should not be a hard blockage, usually its a small amount of soft material. Its not nearly as tough to unstop as a sink drain.Barry
Can I blow air?I have got to leave now but will check backThanks
Sure as long as its not a great deal of pressure. You should not need a lot.
I tried flexible hose down drain hole, I tried blowing air--still get p1 code, is there reset switch or do I still have clog?
See above question.
Turn the power off for about 20 minutes it should reset.
I'll let you know in 20 minutes
Great I will be here.Thanks
No reset as yet but I' m still tryingThanks
Silly thing should have reset, it was clogged wasn't it?
I think so, if that is what code P1 means on uline ice makerI have about 10 minutes and will power up again to checkThanks
Ok I will be here crossing my fingers.
Me too,
Powered up but still have blinking P1 code- Maybe I need to try and thread flexible hose again- will try tomorrow as I need to get better hose although I ran it down about 3-4 feet . Hopefully that will resolve problem unless you have another suggestion.
No I really do not. P1 is clogged. I am opting out but not leaving. Its to allow other experts to respond. Have a good night and see you tomorrow.
I ran some cord down drain hole, then threaded 1/4. Inch flexible piping- ice maker is running but bin is feeling up w / water.I don't know if this ice maker has a drain pump. it is about 4 foot run to disposal and drain unless it empties elsewhere. I've got to watch ice bin to see if it drains- I am getting frustrated. Thanks for the help- hopefully we'll have ice soon.
For my little bit you are most welcome. I hope it works.
No change-ice maker runs for a bit then shuts off, still w/ P 1 code-water has drained a little but still some in basin
