I have a Whirlpool model GEW9200Lw1 dryer. After working fine

Customer Question

I have a Whirlpool model GEW9200Lw1 dryer. After working fine the dryer would not start for the next load. When the Start is pressed you can hear the contactor pull in, but the motor does not start. I performed the Diagnostic checks as described on the tech sheet. Everything checked out 100% other than the Test #2 "Motor Circuit Test". The only thing hear was the resistance check of the Main and Start windings. Both of these should be in a range of 2.4 - 3.6 ohms. My check was 1.8 ohms on both. So, the windings are definitely not open, but I wasn't sure if that reading was still ok, even though it was a little lower than the range (maybe winding shorted to itself?). Trying to determine now if it is the controller board or motor. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Barry
