On/Off button on Bosch DHD865AUC Downdraft Blower does not go up and down. Help!

The high button was stuck in the on position. (now works OK after lubricating it) The on/off button works intermittently. most of the time it will now go on and off.

ok, you will need the replace the control panel to repair this, its # XXXXX on this diagram,

all the switches in this are one piece unit unfortunately, the contacts on the on/off button are fried, you can try going the Lowe's and picking up some HQ contact cleaner and spraying the switches, sometimes they just get greasy and need to be cleaned. if that doesn't work you need to replace the control . you can order it @ http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Bosch-Parts/Range-hood-Parts/Model-DHD865AUC/1794/0122400/50025699/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= its # XXXXX thanks Bryan

When I connect the new control board, does the ribbon to the right of the control board come apart, or do I have to take apart the whole unit in order to install it?
the ribbon should unplug from the board, not sure how that comes apart on yours, they are all different and the diagrams are vague at best, XXXXX XXXXX
