After hitting the start button my washer begins to fill with water and then just shuts off.

does this stop completely? if you advance it to spin does it?

It does the same thing when I advance it to spin. And yes, it stops completely and turns off on wash and spin

you need to check this is the control panel for burnt diodes, its in the top where you timer is, let me know thanks Bryan

I had a technician come to the house today and he said it was the motor. However, he was able to get the lock light to come on and the door locked. I was not able to do that. Thank you for your time and knowledge.
