there is a high pitches whining/humming sound from the back

Resolved Question:

there is a high pitches whining/humming sound from the back of my freezer whenever the compressor is running. The freezer is about 10 years old.

Ok well there are no fans in the unit si if the compressor is getting noiser it is on its way out.It will have to be replaced.But for the cost to have that done you can buy a new freezer.
