the first thing you want to check is the thermal fuse. do you have a few tools and able to follow some direction?
the first thing to do is unplug and slide the unit out and remove the rear cover. once removed the thermal fuse is located in the lower left corner on the blower housing. it is white and has 2 wires on it. remove the wires and slide them directly together. make sure they are not touching anything and start the dryer.
are you there?
ok good. are you able to do this?
the fuse is removed. i just need a couple of minutes to try this
ok let me know
is it safe to plug in without the fuse?
yes as long as the wires are together and not touching anything but eachother
i tried what you suggested and it works
you need to replace the fuse. i sent the part number and price and it can be ordered at www.appliancepartspros.com
which store can i buy this part?
www.appliancepartspros.com www.apwagner.com, www.sears.com www.appliancezone.com any of those. appliancepartspros is usually the cheapest
do i have to order online, I would prefer to pick it up in a store tomorrow
you can if you have an appliance store in your area. no chain stores carry these parts
