I have a maytag quiet series 100 4 cycle 20 speed commercial washer.Just tonight I could smell an electrical burning smell and did not know what it was until I started to wash clothes.The washer fills with water but will not start the cycle.All the light are working but no cycle start

no motor sounds at all
your lid switch may have failed,

you are not going to believe this but while i was talking with you the washer went through the cycle and is now on spin should i replace the switch anyway
yes , its sounds like the switch is the issue, but wait a while and see if it happens again, it may have just stuck, thanks Bryan
