I have a 15 ice maker. Been working fine. After weekend

Resolved Question:

I have a 15" ice maker. Been working fine. After weekend away, home to an empty ice maker! I have routimely vacuumed the fins. Removed the cover and Did this first thing. Ran a cleaning cycle. Turned unit off for an hour. Turned it on and still no ice.

Any tricks?

is there water flowing over the chill plate? Is the fan under the unit running?

in front of unit do i need to turn it on

yes, you need to turn it on and let it run for about 5 minutes.

ok.. the water has filled up in the back tub but i do not hear a fan runng.. should I? and if how do i make the fan work.

the fan is quiet, you'd need to uninstall the unit and remove the back panel to see if it's running.

Now that the water is filled up, if you don't see the water recirculating you'll need a new recirculation pump. These fail all the time and unfortunately cost about $300 for the part alone.
