what happens when you try to start the cycle?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
nothing happens. I close door and press and hold start button.
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
does it beep at you? if so how many times? Does the timer count down even though it doesn't heat or turn? I need to know EXACTLY what it does.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
i get the the quick three beeps when i hold down start button. no other beeps.
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
ok so 3 beeps means your unit isn't detecting that your door is shut. Verify that your door is shut securely and if so, replace the door switch button at the top of your doorway because it's not working properly.

If i put a meter on the switch will I be able to confirm this?
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
you can usually just push it and if it doesn't click anymore it definitely means it's bad, but yes you can use a meter as well.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
i do hear the click, so that's why i did not think it is the switch.
just in case i take it all apart, i was wondering what else it could be.
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
the interface control board would be the only other option if it's not reading the door switch correctly.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
great. thanks. any chance you have part number? i can look it up otherwise.
Expert:  Tyler Z. replied 6 years ago.
unfortunately not, you'd need to contact a parts store with your model to have them look it up.
