my 3 year old whirlpool cabrio washer always gives me a UL

Resolved Question:

my 3 year old whirlpool cabrio washer always gives me a "UL" code at the final spin, even if there are only 3 items in the washer. No amount of repositioning corrects this. After replacing the electronics fo free, the tech wants $450 to replace a "rusted shaft and gasket" which allegedly prevents a free flowing spin. Hell, I can buy a new one for a hundred bux more. Why a gasket leaj after only 3 years, causing the rusted shaft?

Unbalanced Load

uL is displayed when the machine/motor

control detects an off-balance load, and is

steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle

to rebalance the load.

? Display clears if mini-cycle successfully

rebalanced the load.

? If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will

flash until the door lid is opened, allowing

the customer

if the shaft is rusted and needs to be replaced thtis early a believe the machine probably had a faulty seal is in from the start. have you checked the warranty on the tub assembly?

Warranty with Whirlpool only good for 1 year. Of course, this kind of defect would not show up immediately.
