GE cooktop PP975 has a low hanging rear conduit box - 6.25

Resolved Question:

GE cooktop PP975 has a low hanging rear conduit box - 6.25" whereas almost all other cooktops have 5" depth there. The 6.25" height is incompatible with my undermounted oven, which only allows 5.25". Is there any way to reassemble/reconfigure this box so the cooktop can fit in a standard space?

It looks like there is a board inside this box, so unless you wanna go all monster garage on this thing no there isn't a way to shorten or delete this wiring box. Diagram posted below. Sorry I don't have better news for you. I'm guessing if you wanted to hack the thing up you wouldn't be on here asking for an answer on it. So to give you the answer no you cannot move or delete the box. Thanks!
