Customer Question

Maytag refrig not cooling properly. Ice cream soft, etc. Progressively worse and now milk spoiling FF area. I ran ADC/defrost test and defrost heater did turn on and back off. There was significant ice/frost buildup on evap coils. Evap fan works. Ran unit with nothing in it...freezer reached freezing temp. Later found it very warm around 65F. Not sure if it just finished defrost or not. Should it have been this warm after after defrost and before recooling? Would the fact that it was empty have any affect? If the problem likely with the ADC board?

it shoudl never have been over even 20 degrees when defrost finished. If its getting warm you either have a compressor issue or your ADC board is causing a problem. I would imagine that the compressor isn't a problem since you found a lot of frost build up--so I would go with the ADC that will need to be ordered and replaced.
