Have a whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side. Ice maker freezes ice

Resolved Question:

Have a whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side. Ice maker freezes ice in tray but does not push cubes out. Changed control module/motor and still no rotation of arm that removes cubes. What next?

If you open the door first, look at the red light to the right, is it flashing 2 times and then pausing over and over? If you shut the flap on the left side and make a clear path from right to left, does the light turn solid?

OK, now look inside the icemaker itself, is there any ice or water in the icemaker mold? There are white fingers that push the ice out of the icemaker mold, what direction are they facing? Are they above the horizon or below? Pointing forward or backwards?

yes red light flashs twice, then pauses briefly and repeats. red light turns solid when flap on left is closed. there is ice in mold and fingers point toward my forehead (forward to door)and are slightly above horizon.

ok then you just have a bad icemaker unfortunately not advancing correctly. The infra red sensor is working correctly but the icemaker still isn't advancing. Replace the icemaker and you should be good to go. I know you've replaced the motor head but it's not quite the same as replacing the entire icemaker.
