Customer Question

Ihave an amana bottom freezer fridge, the freezer freezes up and the fridge gets warm, the vents in the freezer appear to get blocked by ice so that no cold air gets to the top. The valve at the very top of the fridge is opening but no air seems to be coming out. If i unplug it for a couple of days it works fine for about a week.

Optional Information:
Make: Amana
Model: ABR2227 FES

Already Tried:
Unpluging for 2 days and thawing it out then starting it back up works fine for 1 week to 2 weeks, then it happens again.

there can be three different reasons for this , 1 the defrost thermostat. ( most likely) Part(NNN) NNN-NNNN width= 2 the defrost heater, (second most likely) Part(NNN) NNN-NNNN width= or 3rd the control board(less likely) Part(NNN) NNN-NNNN width=test the defrost thermostat and the heater for continuity with a volt meter if they check good replace the control board, thanks Bryan

Bryan both the thermostat and defrost passed the continuity test where is the board, and is there any way to check it?
