at the top of the disposer there is a switch that screws in the side of the unit, there is usually a silver plate over it, this is the switch assembly , unscrew it counter clockwise and pull it out, take HQ contact cleaner and spray the switch real good while pushing it in and out to loosen it up. if the doesn't work you can order this @ http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-17-%3d%3db99i820740&PartID=820740 thanks Bryan
