does it smell inside or outside the unit?

if it smells inside and you've cleaned the entire liner, then you'll want to remove everything out of the freezer and remove the back panel. There are silver fins behind this panel that make up the evaporator. This is the part that frost builds on and can trap in oder. You'll want to use a spray bottle and you'll want to spray it down with white vinegar to clean it so that it doesn't smell. The fan above blows the air into the rerigerator and freezer so if this part starts to smell, it affects your entire unit.
