My Ge Dryer Model #DX4500EA1WW shuts off after only a few minutes

of running less than 5... Show More
of running less than 5 I have checked the vent line it is clean has a total length of less than 2 feet. Please advicw as to what you think the problem could be Thank You Mike

when it shut off are you able to turn it right back ON?

No it takes a fewe minutes for it to come back on. It feals like it is very hot in the drum.

ok have you pulled the unit out removed the vent hose and tried running the unit ?

If so did you get good air flow out of the vent?

Yes the filter is clean it feals hot in the drum when it shuts off

ok can you check you model number again ?

DX4500EA1WW does not show as a good number.

I checked the Mod # XXXXX it says DX4500EA1WW Serial # XXXXX GE Brand the tag with the mod #is located inside the door could there be another location with a differant Number, Thanks for your help Mike

How big of a job is it to replace the motor and the drum bearings?
