my bosch gas oven wont light

Resolved Question:

my bosch gas oven won't light

this usually means that your bake igniter has just gone bad. Most igniters last about 5-8 years before they fatigue enough that the oven gas safety valve doesn't open. The oven igniter must draw at least 3.2 amps or else it will not open the oven safety valve to release the gas to the bake burner. The bake igniter is under the floor inside the oven.

can I install this myself?

if your mildly handy then use, just remove all the racks inside the oven, unplug the oven and pull the floor up out of the oven. The igniter is only held on by 2 screws and 2 wires.
