My microwave makes a terrible grinding sound when I turn it on. I had caught popcorn in the oven and after that the turn table didn't go round. Do you think I burned something that finally wore out on the workings of the turn table? Should I try to have it fixed or replace the microwave? Is it dangerous? It is a 6 to 8 year old Amana Radarange microwave. Thank you.

You should be able to fix it ,it is not dangerous ,just noisey .

I would recommend replacing the turn table motor due to it is inexpensive part and easy to get th from under the unit .
