Customer Question

Oven light doesn't work, bulb is OK. I opened the back of the stove and tested the wires leading to the bulb socket. Doesn't seem to be any current going there. Rest of stove works fine. It's a Kenmore self-cleaning gas range model 665.75822. Is there a fuse somewhere that needs replacing?

More than likely your door switch is bad....Test power to the switch....Bob

There is also a switch on the back splash to turn the light on and off. It clicks but the light doesn't come on.

Have you check power to the switch..?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes. No power to switch.

No power to the switch...From there trace the wires from both sides of switch. To terminal block.....Check for breaks in wire.....

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
No breaks in wire.

From what you are describing sounds like your power supply to the socket is bad....You have no breaks or shorts on both sides of socket..Your bulb is good...THis would be the only possibility...

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
So what do I do? What is the "power supply"?
Expert:  Bob L Your Appl Pal replied 7 years ago.

if its powered off the control board...You would have to replace the control board...Once you traced the wires from the switch...Did they trace back to the control board...?
