I have a Maytag 2300 #PAV2300AWW-purchased 5yrs ago-Agitator moves but is making a horrible grinding noise-Is it the transmission and what about the 10 yr warranty

well sometimes it the transmission in these but a lot of the time its the drain pump. even in agitate these are turning and grind if the pump is bad. try tipping the machine back and roll the belt off. turn the pump pulley by hand and see if it makes a noise or feels like its hard to turn, let me know thanks Bryan

Sorry Bryan.Machine is my mother inlaws and it is 9 years old.I will have to go over and try and tip it back to get to the pulley.I really apprecaite tour help
