i have an 18 month old Maytag gas range, model #MGRH865QDB

Customer Question

i have an 18 month old Maytag gas range, model #MGRH865QDB that decided to stop heating up. The broiler works fine and the panel provides a temperature reading when i turn it from broil to "bake". But neither the bake nor the convection features heat up. It happened suddenly - christmas day i used the oven all day but the next day, my son cooked a frozen pizza (said it cooked more quicly than usual) and then the oven wouldnt heat up when i turned it on for dinner. Is it the igniter or the sensor? Oh - there seems to be a "click" after i set the temperature and then the usual 100 degrees lights up as the starting point.

yes you need an oven igniter, Part 949510 these can glow but not draw enough amps to light the burner, you can order this @ this is a very common problem with these, hope this has been helpful, thanks Bryan
