Kirkland signature dryer by Whirlpool wont stay on. Model

Resolved Question:

Kirkland signature dryer by Whirlpool won't stay on. Model SEDX600JQ1. If I hold the start button, it will run until I release it (a few seconds max). Sometimes, if I hold the start button, it takes a second or two then starts running, but stops.

Is that the only possible problem? Sounds right to me, but I'd like to be 100% sure before I spend $100 on a motor/
Expert:  Bryan replied 6 years ago.
definitely the problem unfortunately, the motor has a centrifugal switch in it and its bad, it takes over after the motor starts and keeps it running, we replace a lot of these, thanks Bryan

Bummer. Where can I find instructions on how to replace it? I'm pretty good at mechanical stuff, but I've never worked on a dryer before.

these can be a pain to install, you will need to take the whole dryer appart to do it. you can click here for all the diagrams, http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=265790 also these videos show how the average dryer motor is replaced, yours is made by whirlpool but they are mostly the same basic instalation, hope this helps, http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dryer+motor+replacement&search_type=&aq=0&oq=dryer+motor thanks Bryan
