We have a Kenmore C970-688322 oven bought from Sears Canada.

Resolved Question:

We have a Kenmore C970-688322 oven bought from Sears Canada. Early this morning the outside glass door shattered. The oven had not been used for at least 3 days, and no one was near it when it happened. The noise of the glass falling on the tile floor was the thing that alerted us to the problem.

this can happen for no reason at all unfortunately. usually for poor manufacturing where sand or a shard gets caught betwen the outside glass and the frame of the door. Unfortunately, I'm sure you can see that the only correction is to replace the outer glass once you clean everything up. If you want to try and talk to the manufacturer about it to see if they will help you out with repairs you can do that, but if it's over 5 years old, don't bother wasting your time unless you just want to vent because they definitely will not help and may not if it's even over 1 year old since they are not required to.
