I have a Kenmore Elite Oasis Steam Electric Dryer that is giving me a trouble code of
F40. What does this code mean as the dryer quits and gives me this code.

Already Tried:
Shutting down by pulling the plug and let it sit for a few minutes and then re-plug. Checked dryer vent to see if it was plugged. All clear.

Error Code F40 is that the thermal fuse has blown.

The thermal fuse is located inside the dryer under the drum attached to the blower wheel housing. Here is a link to the part.

the dryer has started working again so what do I do now

well make sure it's heating and if so there might just be a loose connection somewhere. If this is the case you'll need to wait for it to get worse so that you can track down the bad connection.
