I HAVE A HOTPOINT CSH24GR 23.7 CUFT SIDE BY SIDE REFER. tHE FREEZER SECTION IS ICING UP. i REMOVE THE BACK PANEL AND DEFROST WITH A HAIRDRYER REMOVING ICE THAT IS CAKED ALL AROUND THE COILS. i DRY IT OUT AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND IT WORKS WELL FOR ABOUT 2 TO 3 WEEKS THEN i HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE SAME PROCESS AGAIN. IS THIS SOMETHING WORTH FIXING OR SHOULD i BE LOOKING FOR A NEW FRIDGE

This is almost always the defrost heater and thermostat, and is part number WR51X443, You can order the parts you need from the following places, http://www.apwagner.com/, http://www.repairclinic.com/, or http://www.partstore.com/, all of these places offer easy returns and reasonable prices for thier items. This is a lot cheaper than replacing the unit, It will only take about 30 minutes to install it..
