Resolved Question:

Kenmore built in electric stove # XXXXX oven reads 340 degrees when go to turn on oven so only heats a few degrees and then turns off. We just replaced the oven temperature sensor and the problem remains the same. What needs to be done to repair it?

ok on the digital display it says 340 degrees all the time? or just when you push the bake button?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
When I push the bake button it set the temp below 340 it just displays the temp and that is is already that hot. If I set it above the 340 it will display it is 340 then will turn on heat, but, very quickly says it is 450 and then heat turns off and wili turn on as the oven cools, but, is off again quickly. Everthing else works fine on the stove. This is exactly what it was doing before we replaced the temperature probe.
