My Jenn Air model JCB2389DRS is no longer cooling. How difficult is it to replace the compressor?

the compressor if thats what is wrong has to be replaced by a licensed service tech, but I dont believe this is your problem, first off lets check a few things, do you hear any clicking ofr buzzing comming from the compressor? is this completely warm inside? feel the compressor is it cold? let me know thanks Bryan

I do hear a clicking, and the compressor is not cold. The inside of the fridge is getting warm.

its the compressor relay start, these fail all the time. its located on the side of the compressor and comes with instuctions to install, you can order thsi @ http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-JCB2389DRS-%3d%3dei1194748&PartID=1194748 this should take care of your problem. one last question is there any frost buildup on the back panel inside thye freezer? thanks Bryan
