I was preheating my 2 month old oven and left 2 plastic domes

Resolved Question:

I was preheating my 2 month old oven and left 2 plastic domes and forgetting they were in the oven. As the oven was preheating, my oven started smoking...I had forgotten the microwave covers were in there. Naturally they melted on the oven racks and the bottom of the oven. The plastic is stuck on the racks and the bottom of the oven.

What do you suggest as to how to remove the plastic from both the racks and the bottom of the oven?? I am devastated that I caused this to my new oven!!

Hello there is no really good way to do this. The best way would be to warm the plastic up with a blow dryer and chip the plastic off. This is the best way to get it off.
