Appliance Repair Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hi thanks for the question.
Yes it can be the timer if you turned the timer and the heat came on.Look at the back of the timer for the part number I will see if they have it in stock.
how do I get access to the timer?
Could it also be one of the conductors as I think it started working again when I slapped the side of the heating element canister?
I'm just finishing drying a towell.
When I open the door the dryer stops but the heating element seems to stay on
I may have a faint odor of warm burning rubber
The dryer wasn't turned off.
I just opened the door and I think the element was still on
Since it's an older model May be I should jsut replace the element.
I live in a remote area and I can get the element on Wed. when i go in to B'ham 50 miles away.
that's probably why ithe dryer is coming on intemittantly.
Yes it will act like that .
Thanks and God Bless.
