GE Profile microwave, just over a year old, quit working while defrosting. I thought it was the transformer and replaced and still nothing. Fuses are good, capacitor is good.
Make: GE ProfileModel: PNM1871SM1SS
Checked fuses and capacitor and replaced transformer.
Replacing parts without a dignsosis is a waste as you have found out. I can help you only if you have a voltmeter and know how to use it.
Yes to both
Do you have voltage TO the transformer when in heating? Measure at input side.
absolutely dead when it's plugged in
Well, all fuses good and no display means a failed control board.
where can I get a control board?
Any local appliance parts supply or check ge.com's appliance site. I always look on ebay for best price before buying anywhere else.
are you talking about the smart board?
