We have a kitchen aid combination (microwave over the top of the oven)that is approximately 8 years old. We have recently experienced a problem with the oven locking while turned on with food cooking inside of it. The led screen indicates locked due to too hot.

ok is this giving any f codes at all? these ovens are made to give an f code for the failer. example, F-0 or F-1 or any combo like that? I've checked the service tech sheets and oven to hot doesnt come up. let me know thanks Bryan

1. Check sensor connection.

2. Measure sensor resistance (1080 Ω at 70° F. Add 2 Ω per degree.)

3. If resistance is not valid replace sensor.

4. If sensor resistance and connections are good, then check for welded-closed relays on the

control.

E1 Temperature sensor

 

F2 - E0 Oven temp too high1. Test operation of door lock on self-clean models
2. Test relay contact operation
3. High resistance in oven temperature sensor
