Customer Question

My Kenmore Dehumidifier is leaking water (all over the floor) out of the UPPER portion of the unit. I have a hose connected and the bucket is not filling with water. When unit is on, it seems that water builds up in the uppper portion of unit, then does NOT go into hose nor into bucket but leaks out of the unit, somewhere just above the catch-bucket, and onto the floor. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Can it be fixed? Is it worth it. The unit is the 50-pint, model 54501. Thanks you.

Optional Information:
Make: Kenmore
Model: 54501

Already Tried:
tipping the unit over to remove all excess water build up in "upper" portion of unit. letting unit rest overnight. then turning back on. still builds up water and begins to leak again.
