I only have cold water hooked up to it. We dont have hot water, out in the laundry room

yes, it is a constant water flow, all the time wheter the machine is running or not

ok ,, you need to replace the water inlt valve ,, thats the valve the water hoses hooks to on the washer ,, the part number is(NNN) NNN-NNNNwhich cost $31.17 and you can get it at a local appliance parts dealer or online at www3.sears.com ,,, this will fix the water problem / thanks
