Maytag (gas) dryer spins but does not heat at all. Legacy Series, Quiet Series 100. Any suggestions?John
Optional Information: Make: MaytagModel: Legacy Series Gas Dryer Already Tried: Only just turned it on to find out what was going on with it. It has power because it starts up and spins.
You will need to disassemble this to some degree. Having a voltmeter or test light will be beneficial too. If capable, reply with model# XXXXX I know what you have. I can tell you what to check and do as well as what part(s) need replacing. Part#s are your job to find out; any supply house can look up the parts by your model# XXXXX the name of what you need-that is what they get paid to do.

Get front off by popping up top-there are 2 spring clips a few inches in from each end-push in slightly and they will release top. Remove screws that hold front to cabinet.
I am a plumber with gas heat control experience. This is my dryer and it may be under warranty so I don't want to open it up just yet. I am familiar with 24 volt gas valves, igniters regulators etc. I would appreciate it if you could give me the troubleshooting procedures even though I don't have time to get to this until Sat. morning. To be honest, I wasn't even sure if I would get an answer back tonight.
I would do this step-by-step. No point in telling you 15 things to check when it may be #1. Also, if under wty why would want to pay me anyway?
Wife is busting my balls, thanks anyway, now I have to take her out for dinner. I'd rather stay home and tear into the machine. Have a good weekend.
