i have an error message on my oven that says E1 F5

Make: whirlpool oven
Model: gr399lxgb

Already Tried:
i was trying to set the self-cleaning option when this error appeared. i tried to push the off/cancel button, but the error message will disappear for a short time, then reappear. i cannot use any of my oven functions now, only the range seems to be working.

Hello the E1 F5 Error code means a problem with the door lock switch. Could be a bent latch or latch assembly that's not actuating the latch switch correctly or that the latch switch itself is bad. Check the door switch, too. Basically either the latch has bent or the switch and actuator has gone bad. Try making sure the latch is not bent and the door is strait. If not replace the assembly.
