I have a sears rrefrigerator (model 596.(p)77532).It has an icemaker/water dispenser in the door. They quit dispensing. When the compressor is running the door & temperature alarm lights flash along with the temperature displays and indicator led for whatever function is chosen. The flap in the ice chute also cycles continuously along with the lights flashing. When the compressor is off all the lights stop flashing & the flap stops and everthing appears normal but it still dispenses nothing. Any wisdom? The refrigerator is about 15 months old & I think manufactured in 2007.
Make: SearsModel: p 77532 Already Tried: Disconnecting power (plug) to see if fault would clear from memory,Checked circuit board for obvious signs of scorched or burned components. Checked for damsged wires from power supply to where harness plugs in to refrigerator cabinet. Haven't pulled the circuit board to check for scorching on back.
may I have the model number from inside the unit please?
596.(p)77532 is not a good number
The 596 was the prefix on my owners manual, the rest is from a sticker on back of fridge.Ser# XXXXX(s)10811833JE. Will look again for another number; hope this will help while I look. Assembled in Mexico if that helps.
look inside the freshfood section right side wall at the top !
Just found a shiny place that is sticky like the label has been peeled off. I bought the appliance at a discount centre. I think it may have been removed for some reason related to the discount.
that normally means the unit was supposed to be SCRAPED by a dealer for the manufacture.
I can tell you what you need ,but you should contact the deler you got it from .
since the part is $198.11.
Thanks. I will contact the place i bought it. My guess is the circuit board. If you tell me what the part is I will pay you. Thanks.
yes it is the main control board in thr rear of the unit.
Part number 12920710
And thank you!!
